Fraudulent practices by Servify for Purchases done via the Samsung Corporate Program

This blog highlights how Servify, the company that provides Warranty/Insurance for Samsung products resorts to malpractices and fraudulent tricks with customers to avoid registering warranties for legit purchases from Samsung Corporate website. 

Context: 

The Samsung Corporate program allows Corporate customers to purchase devices at competitive prices. The Samsung Corporate  website has a good number of deals which offer devices at discounted prices for Corporates.

Recently, I purchased a Samsung S24 Ultra directly from the Samsung Corporate website. 

During purchase, the website clearly mentioned that the AD & LD Warranty (Accidental Damage & Liquid Damage) is provided Complementary with all such purchases. The AD & LD Warranty provides coverage for 1 year against Accidental Screen Damage & Liquid Damage. The AD & LD Warranty is different from Extended Warranty (which starts 1 year after the Standard Warranty ends).

Fraudulent Practices by Servify

Post the purchase from Samsung Corporate Website, the device itself was delivered in good condition by Samsung Corporate team. 

This is when the malpractice by Servify started. 

I reached out to the Servify team as Samsung's Support team directed me to contact them. The support email address of Servify is Support@servify.in and website is https://samsung.servify.tech/

Servify promised me that the Complementary AD & LD Warranty (Accidental Damage & Liquid Damage) will be activated within 10 days from the delivery of my device. 

I was constantly in correspondence with Servify over email and Servify kept promising that the AD & LD Warranty would be activated within 10 days of delivery. As explained earlier, the AD & LD Warranty protects the phone from Accidental and Liquid Damage for 1 year from the delivery of the phone. 

Even after 15+ days, the Complementary AD & LD Warranty was not activated. 

Whenever I reached out to Samsung Support team or Servify's Support team, they gave me a standard answer that they are looking into it.

In parallel, I independently purchased an Extended Warranty by paying the amount out of my own pocket from Samsung directly from their website. As explained earlier, the Extended Warranty starts 1 year after the standard warranty ends. 


After I kept questioning them on the AD & LD Warranty, Servify came up with a lame excuse that since I have already purchased the Extended Warranty (from my own pocket), they cannot activate the Complementary AD & LD Warranty as only one Warranty can be activated for each IMEI number. Surprisingly, this condition was never mentioned anywhere. This was not told me when I was purchasing the Extended Warranty out of my own pocket from Samsung's website. 

To add to this, my Samsung S24 Ultra has 2 SIMs and hence 2 IMEI numbers. There is no reason why Servify cannot activate the AD & LD Warranty on the other IMEI. I even asked Servify to cancel and refund my Extended Warranty to be able to activate the AD & LD Warranty on the same IMEI which they are not ready to do. 

This is a clear case of Fraud and Malpractice by Servify on behalf of Samsung Corporate

As next steps, I will be moving to Consumer Court and also posting about this malpractice by Samsung Corporate and Servify on various Social media forums including X.com, Facebook, LinkedIn. I will be specifically tagging Samsung so that other Customers don't get cheated by Servify.
